HAITI!

The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) is collecting funds to aid the people of Haiti. Follow this link to see details of the program. The Government of Canada through CIDA will match all such funds (see Haiti CIDA Donations).

Cheques will be collected by The Parish of All Saints, Ladner, between January 12 and February 12. Cheques should be made out to PWRDF and marked ‘ Haiti Earthquake’. All such donations should be submitted in a separate envelope clearly marked PWRDF - Haiti.

Welcome to the All Saints’ Web Site. This Christian community has been serving Ladner since 1881. Christian men and women have been living and proclaiming God’s love as our “Mission Statement” proclaims:

We are a community of faith committed to following Christ and giving life to the love and justice of God in our parish, in our community, and in the world.

When we asked people about All Saints strengths and mission they said, “every time there is a gathering at All Saints, people are fed - in body, mind and spirit”. So over the past months we have focused our energies on developing a strategic plan that includes six areas of mission and work for us. These are:

• Spiritual growth for all ages
• Leadership team development
• Congregational health and satisfaction
• Financial budgeting and planning
• Management of our property
• Communication with our members and the wider community

Our programs include:

• Worship and teaching about the Christian faith
• Parish Health Ministry with a Parish Nurse on the Leadership Team
• Community Meals
• Children’s programming
• Gardening
• Quarterly newsletter “Saints Alive!”

We also have education programs for all ages, a healing ministry through prayer and workshops, and a monthly free Community meal.

All are welcome at this table - but the table is set by God’s people working together, for it takes our hands, our prayers, our financial support, our talents - and our hearts.
